Polly Perkins Johnson

Polly Perkins Johnson joined AdMedia as Director of Business Development in January 2002 to focus on the needs of the consumer magazine industry. She has a distinguished background in the magazine, publishing, and consulting industries.
Ms. Perkins Johnson has held numerous positions at prestigious magazines, including Publisher of Bon Appetit magazine, the launch Publisher of Elle Décor, advertising director of Hearst's Connoisseur, and national sales manager of House Beautiful. She was the President and founder of Sport Traveler, first launched in 1992. Sports Traveler set a precedent as one of the first women's sports publications to combine participatory sports with women's new found interests in an active lifestyle.
In 1998, Ms. Perkins Johnson started a consulting business for the publishing and media industry. Her clients included Primedia, Yoga Journal, The MPA, The New York Times Magazine Group as well as Worth Media. Her areas of expertise included development and operations, sales and marketing, editorial positioning and redesign, creation of strategic overview, as well as development of custom publishing opportunities.
She has been named "Woman of the Year" by the YWCA.
