Michael E. Parker
Managing Director
Michael Parker joined AdMedia Partners in 2007. Leveraging over twenty-nine years of industry knowledge and an extensive publishing background emphasizing digital media development, Mr. Parker heads up the firm's business-to-business practice.
Mr. Parker started his career in 1978 at Time Inc, rising to Eastern Regional Manager for Sports Illustrated before starting custom publishing business Parker Media in 1987. He rejoined the New York publishing community in 1996 as SVP at Adweek Magazines, later ascending to the position of President.
At VNU (recently re-named Nielsen Business Media), Mr. Parker became President of the Marketing/Media & Design Group while continuing to run the Adweek stable of titles. He was given additional responsibility for American Artist, the Clio Awards, Watson-Guptill books and multiple brands in the retail and design markets. His focus on expanding into the Hispanic market led to the introduction of Marketing y Medios and his transformation of Editor & Publisher into a monthly print and online brand resulted in his team being awarded the VNU Chairman's award in 2005. In 2006 he became SVP of Nielsen Business Media's Marketing & Media Group.
Mr. Parker holds a BA in Philosophy from Miami University of Ohio.
