Abbott C. Jones
Board of Advisors
Abbott C. Jones, now retired, is a founding partner of AdMedia. He helped launch the company after a 29-year career in the advertising business. At AdMedia, Mr. Jones has advised the owners of many of the best-known independent agencies and holding companies in the U.S., representing them in transactions and advising them on strategic issues.

From 1986 to 1989 Mr. Jones was president and chief operating officer of Foote Cone & Belding Communications, which was one of the largest advertising agencies in the world during his tenure. Previously he was president of FCB's Associated Companies, responsible for building its strong position in specialized communications. He was a member of FCB's board of directors and chairman of the finance committee. While at FCB, he was responsible for 20 acquisitions, mergers and divestitures.

From 1963 to 1977 he worked in account management for Ogilvy & Mather, where he was a senior vice president and director. He began his advertising career in 1960 as an account executive at Benton & Bowles.

Mr. Jones is a former director and chairman of the special committee of POP Radio Corporation. He holds a BA from Principia College and a MBA from Harvard Business School.
